Kensignton Gold Mine
100 People | 3+ Years | Sleepers Only
year-round with power
While the gold mine was expanding and increasing their work force and services, they needed additional sleeping space for their employees.
Taiga setup an additional 100 beds in two and four-person sleepers, completely furnished and powered.
Year-round operations began in 2009 and ended once permanent facilities were built on site in fall 2012.
Snow loads were the biggest concern in this mountainous terrain, however the gable structure and heavy duty Alaskan type structures held up with little maintenance throughout the heavy snowfall winters.
